You might want to check out Freespace 2 as well.I keep comparing this game to Freespace 2 which had shield controls and a good level of fidelity. I was searching the HUD during the reveal on Thursday and didn't see any evidence of it yet :/ I hope Chris Roberts plays through Freespace 2 at least once during the development of this game.

Hmm, well I last played it through about three years ago. I still loved it, but I'm probably biased. I haven't seen anything as good since, let me put it that way.
